Another I Can't

                                                               https://amzn.to/45W5ym4   (amazon)

 Hello, My Dark& Different Readers..

Happy July. So, what are you reading? Under Your Scars By Ariel N. Anderson is a Dark Romance book. Actually, it's a stalker book. It's about two people, Christen & Elena. Christen is a trillionaire, I kid you not. He's in his mid-30s, and of course good-looking & tall. Elena is a pretty, petite brunette down on her luck, who needs the job and money to pay her bills. She tries to pass the bar exam to become a lawyer. So, she works for one of the biggest law firms in the city, which happens to be owned by Christen. Christian has secrets that he's keeping from Elena when he meets her, and they start dating. The story goes on to Elena having a stalker, whom we will call Silencer, who's jealous of the hold Christen now has on her. Silencers visit Elena at night in her small apartment. They have their moments. Elena has a passive personality.  She allows certain things to happen to her that's just to much for me. The story got good reviews. What I found it unbelievable is that the billionaires whisk her away to all these places, her personality for a twenty-nine-year-old woman is a bit immature. The trouble they fall into. She's become a waitress working part-time in a shady club that traffics women. She can go back and forth to her bartending job, but can't quit? What?? Too many questions and things that don't make sense in this story for me to even start on. I read about half the book and just put it down. The story reminded me of the book Fifty Shades of Grey, a bit, just with a stalker added in. If you have read this story. Please share with me what you think about it. It just wasn't for me. I have read my share of Stalker dark romance books. Some were pretty good. Had me wanting my own sexy stalker, but this one wasn't good to me. The characters, storyline just didn't make sense. That's just me again, your thoughts if you have read it.

More Rejects Then Reads

                                                                 https://amzn.to/4oXo329 (amazon)

Hello, My Dark & Different Readers

Yes, this is another dark book I had to pass on. Twisted Games By  Eva Ashwood  It's about three brothers who avenge their mother's death. But there's a witness to the murder, who is a young, scared woman. Who's not attractive and has a scarred body? The brothers threaten her if she tells them she is dead. Then I guess the story goes on from there about how the three of them form a relationship. Not sure since I could only get past chapter 5 of the book. Why, because it's the same old story, there are other three some I have read about bad guys, one week girl who they rescue. Same old stuff. I read this book, and it reminded me of the book The Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight , which was a good story, I might add.

I'm not saying this isn't a good story. It's just wasn't the story for me. If you've read it let me know your thoughts on it. It got great Amazon reviews.

I Can't

Hello, My Dark & Different Readers

Happy June! The book Madness By Shantel Tessier  ( please start with The Ritual by her before you read this it will give you a better understanding Of what the heck these guys are like) Anyway back to this books it's about a guy name Hayden who's a lord but also a spade brother has some issues and is cruel but these are the things he was taught being a lord. He meets Annabelle, who's feisty and not one to mess with.  She has her own agenda for why she's dealing with Hayiden. The whole Series is about men who are over the top with the power, privilege, control, and forbidden stuff. They treat their women like property among other things that they do. Their line of thinking is crazy. To understand it all, start with The Ritual. It has a few trigger warnings. Anyway, the book started slow, and Hayden's attitude, added with Annabel's at the start of the story, was part of the reason I couldn't continue. The reviews say it's good.  If you have finished reading this book, share your thoughts about it. This book is definitely under the Dark Romance genre.

So Beautiful

                                                                       https://amzn.to/4fYz9Qn           (Amazon)

Hello, My Dark & Different Readers

This is a nice movie, it's under a different category. The movie and that's made from the book called The Shape of Water. I watched the DVD last night and it was nicely done. I might read the book, not sure yet. Anyway, it's about a mute woman named Elsa who's in her early 30s. She works the night shift as a cleaning woman in a research lab in the early 60's.  She is lonely. Has a set routine that she does every day until she meets a fishman. (That's what I call him anyway) Who she connects with. The story goes on from there about their meeting, the cruelty the fishman endures, and her helping him escape. With the help of her gay neighbor and a co-worker.

The story is of determination, finding love when you least expect it, and overcoming obstacles. While finding true love in strange places.  while dealing with differences from such love. The only thing I disliked was about the movie the way people were treated in that era.

The story, or rather movie, was good. I think this is the only monster love story that is out. But don't quote me on that.

So what are you reading today?

I Need To Read this

Hello My Dark & Different Readers.

Can you imagine what kind of story this would be from the cover alone? ok, it's probably a PG-13 kind of  story, but still. It looks good enough to read. She is a woman monster he's afraid of . Yet deep down, he found her interesting and slightly attracted to. In a different dark story he could see past her flaws and grow to love her. Crazy right?  The only thing missing in this picture is that the woman needed to stick out her tongue at him like she wants a lick. (LOL) I would  read a dark romance with these two as characters. What about you?

Just Can't

                                                                https://amzn.to/4n29bxE     (amazon)

Hello, My Dark & Different Readers

Happy May. So, what are you reading this month that's Dark or Different? I tried to read Circus Of the Dead By Kimberly Loth. This was a young adult book, no less. it should have been an adult book for the situations in this book. It's about a girl named Callie who is around sixteen. she's sent off to stay with an uncle for the summer, who works for the circus of the dead. This circus offers strange attractions like being bitten by a snake, and other various acts that bring people close to death. Behind all these attractions and people is a reason for the circus being there.  Callie's not sure why her mother sent her to work with her uncle. But she goes along with the plan to this spooky circus in Louisiana in the swamp lands. There is no way of getting to civilization unless you take a boat back and forth. Which, by the way, is cursed and run by the ring master.

The whole story is about Callie, who's a little too naive, and how she meets workers of the circus who are living, and others who happen to be ghosts. The whole store is just crazy. The ringmaster has a crush on her, and he's about 20-something is a mystery within himself. Then there's a seventeen-year-old gangster ghost she meets that's questionable as well. I couldn't take her being so young, and everything was her first, like a kiss, and her not knowing anything but yet she was feisty. The character is too confusing, along with the story. To me I just couldn't see an old twenty-something going after a sixteen-year-old. You read it could be me, maybe you have another way to see this story. Good luck

Another One

                                                               https://amzn.to/4nb4emB       (amazon)

Hello My Dark & Different Readers

I can't understand why this book on Amazon got high marks Sick Boys By Clarissa Wild. Could you please tell me that? I love a good starker story that involves a female and two to three guys.  The storyline on this one was not that good and confusing. It's about a girl named Penelope Pen for short who attends a college to find out how her sister or why her sister killed herself. In college, she runs across a group called the Skull and Serpent Club which consist of three guys Felix, Dylan and Alistair. which they all have some kind of angry or crazy issues. The college fears them because of who their parents are. They're the bad boys of the college. The story and characters had me lost because the story never made sense to me in the first place. Maybe it's me? I had to put this book down after chapter five it didn't hold my interest, and the storyline didn't explain things too well. If you have read it, what did you think about it? This was supposed to be a dark read for me, but it ended up being a disappointing one.
